Tap into our excellent local knowledge of Banks Peninsula combined with our commitment to its sustainable development. Living on a rural block on Banks Peninsula where we combine a self sufficient organic lifestyle with our professional lives, we have grass roots experience of the sustainability issues facing the Peninsula. We have a good working knowledge of the Banks Peninsula District Plan and other relevant statutory documents affecting development.
Since its inception in 2006, Peninsula Projects has conducted research and been involved with both Banks Peninsula District Council, Christchurch City Council and Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism on a variety sustainable development projects.
These include:
- Assessment of peak parking demand in Akaroa
- Development of walking on Banks Peninsula as a major visitor activity
- Research into Historical flooding in the Akaroa crater
- Analysing the needs of sustainable business
